*Novel set in Manhattan concerning possession and witchcraft, specifically 'espiritismo', a form of witchcraft practiced in Spanish Harlem.
It has been compared much to 'Rosemary's Baby' and 'The Exorcist' both of which came out the following year. The film adaptation of 'Delaney' (starring Shirley MacLaine) and indeed the book have been wholly overshadowed by the afore mentioned titles, it is now almost forgotten but is of much merit.

*This UK first printing is rather scarce.
