* A P Baker’s wonderful supernatural tale 'A College Mystery' was thought by many to be a true account upon its publication as it is written in a style to appear as such. In the foreword Baker thanks his friend, the provost of Eton for reading through the manuscript and offering kindly comment, that was of course 'Monty' M R James. Beautiful, eerie illustrations inside by F H Round a couple of which remind me of The Mezzotint by MRJ.
